To me the best way to impress your potential employer is to prove them that you are the best candidate for the job they want to offer you, how? By telling them that you are far better than the other applicant, letting them know through your CV that you what other do not have. Companies around the world continue to invest in the global market, and prefer to hire employees who have international experience. Not to mention knowledge of a 2nd language. Your resume will stand out from everyone else applying for the same position.

2. The cost might be cheap

Living and studying in a foreign country might be cheap to that of your native country, at time, it may be the same. If you go somewhere other than Europe, seriously the cost of your programme will reduce. This is depending on the school of your choice, tuition fees vary from one school to another. Additionally, there’s funding available (grants & scholarships). In fact some countries allow you to study abroad for much less than school in your country.

Moving out of your comfort zone and facing challenges in your new destination will strength you in ways, this will increase your experience and add more to your values. Getting a better sense of who you are and what important are you.  By this you will discover what you want in life, you will learn how not to depend on other for you will be able to take some critical decisions on your own.  Living tour native home for another will surely show who you are?

4. Learning foreign languages

Often those studying abroad will experience a completely new way of teaching. This can be daunting, but it will also open your mind to new ways of learning. As well you will at the merit point of learning other languages, this will open many opportunities as the case may be. As globalization brings the world together, it is important to be competent in more than single language.

5. Acquired more skills

Studying abroad helps you to study course or courses you do not have the opportunity to study in you home country. Aside these you may develop new hobbies or sport that are not popular or one that you cannot even practices in your home university. Travelling out of one home country is education on its own, thereby giving another means to interact with and navigate through cultural difference outside yours.

6. Be spontaneous and adventurous

When you are hundreds of thousands of kilo meters away from your home, spontaneity and adventurousness are your best friends. Open your mind up to new experiences and sights and the fun will come your way.

7.  You learn to appreciate smaller things the more

Studying overseas usually means you have even fewer possessions than the average student, and being that much further from home can really make you miss those familiar comforts you would have taken for granted. Welcome to a new found appreciation of everything from your parents, cooking to having more than two pairs of shoes to choose from.

8.  You will appreciate your people and home more

Any memories of parental arguments or sibling rivalry will pale in comparison to your memories of how amazing they are. Likewise, they will have time to forget about all your less attractive attributes as well. When you get back these relationships will look so much stronger in your new destination. Most students who have studied abroad claim their time overseas was the best year of college. You will meet new friends who will want to share their culture, ideas, and learn about yours. Create lasting memories and develop life-long friendships. You may even find your future wife or husband which are common these days

9. Enjoy cultural differences

Immersing yourself in a totally different culture is powerful. You will experience things like trying different foods, celebrating traditional customs, and learning the history of another country. A person’s culture reflects deep perceptions, beliefs, and values that influence their way of life. You will gain an understanding of this that cannot be taught with books.

10. Understanding your worldview

Previously held beliefs about foreign countries will change once you have been abroad. However you will gain a completely new perspective on your own country as well. It can be surprising just how much you know is slightly biased, based on where you are from. It is also a unique opportunity to educate others on your country, dispelling their stereotypes about you.

11. You will earn Money

You can actually earn income while you study in overseas. We are pretty lucky that English is the international language of business. It is an important language that many foreigners want to learn. You can get paid for teaching, interpreting, or translating English while you are studying abroad.
