There are few numbers of Canadian universities that offer scholarships to international students compare to other Europeans countries like United State of America scholarship, United Kingdom scholarship or Australia scholarship that are available to international students. Over the years, Canada has gradually but consistently grown, to become an increasingly popular destination for international students seeking world class education. To help you in your search, this article has compiled the list of best institutions’ that offer scholarship for international students.
McGill University, Montreal
Mcgill is situated in the
people’s Republic of Qeubec in the heart of Canada’s sexiest city in
Montreal. Surprisingly, this is the only
university in the Canada that international student know more about. McGill is
the cheapest school for international students in Canada, Montreal has
those strongly competitive tuition rates for those who qualify. Montreal
is a dream-come-true for twenty-somethings, although it is arguably the North
American city that feels least like North America. If you want to
experience Canada as it's advertised to the world i.e. bilingual, liberal,
cultured, and stoned, go to McGill. Undergraduate international tuition fees
are around $17,859 and that graduate is $16,117.
Memorial University, St. John’s
This might sound so funny to you for including 8
years old University on the list ahead of the ground old stone dames of
Ontario. As a result of very low tuition
fees, Memorial is the cheapest place to study in English Canada for
international students, and the cheapest in Canada for those who don't qualify
for any of the fee exemptions in Quebec. The major courses of this great
institution are naval architecture, maritime
engineering, and the humanities which include one of the only graduate programs
in folklore on the continent. Memorial University welcomes you to the
local culture of the Canadian. Graduate international tuition and fees: $5,718 and Undergraduate
international tuition and fees: $8,800.
Alberta University,
Edmonton
This is a large intensive research institute, this university is
not a conducive school to study as an undergraduate just because is very expensive.
As well is a competitive priced place to study as graduate students. This
university is located in a large city with every amenities in place, it is also
one of the coldest place in Canadian institutions.
Queen’s University, Kingston
Queen's is like the University of
Toronto for those who want the brand delusion without the full price tag. It is
halfway between Toronto and Montreal, Kingston is not very big or diverse, but
it is a hell of a lot cheaper than the big cities to the every conner of the
country. That proximity is great if you want a quick getaway, and the isolation
works if you want to stay immersed in your studies. The cheapest of Ontario's
northern ivy league, Queen's has great engineering, law, medicine, political
studies and geography schools in a bucolic lakeside setting. Beware, don’t be
carry away with the American style school spirit.
University De Montreal
The tuition fees of this school
are relatively bearable, outside France is the largest french-speaking
university globally. Most importantly, all citizens of France and a changing
list of other francophone countries qualify for Quebec-resident tuition rates,
which are the lowest in the country at about $1500 a year. As a result of
the low tuition fees, number of students applying for program in the school
keeps increasing yearly. If you speak French and you can qualify for any of
their program, Universite De Montreal is the right choice.
University of British Columbia, Vancouver
You might want to consider the
least coast if you are planning to get an undergraduate degree in Canada, but
if you are looking for a PhD in Marine Biology or an MFA in Creative Writing,
the big school out in the far west end of Vancouver is your right and best
choice you can make. The best university in one of the world's great cities,
UBC offers international graduate students a rate barely higher than its
domestic fees. The climate, proximity to jaw-dropping natural beauty, and
diversity of the city and university's population make it an excellent first
choice for international graduates.
York University, Toronto
Dalhousie University, Hlifax
The biggest university in the
east of Montreal, Dalhousie, the second most affordable university to get a
Bachelor's degree outside of Quebec, and it is located in the immigrant friendly,
seafood-rich port city of Halifax. Dalhousie University, Hlifax is best known
for its law and journalism programs, and for the whimsically retrograde
foundation year at its liberal arts enclave, King's College.
Saskatchewan University, Saskatoon
The University of Saskatchewan is
a large research university with a solid reputation, especially in history and
agriculture with shockingly low graduate tuition costs. With the cheapest grade
tuition west of Quebec, the Paris of the Prairies might be your best bet if you
like your winters crisp and your skies enormous.
Conestoga College International Student Scholarships
The International
Student Entrance Scholarships are designed for foreign students applying
to a full time diploma or degree program and meeting the
academic requirements for the program of study. This Scholarship is
open to students who will begin their studies in a post-secondary program in
September each year. A total of three scholarships will be awarded over two
consecutive semesters and the value of each scholarship is $3,000 cdn. The
scholarship has no cash value and will be used toward payment of the winning
candidates’ outstanding tuition.
Toronto University
If you are the kind of
international student who feels at home in a self consciously elite
institution, or if you are just the kind of student who would prefer a world class
education at a beautiful downtown campus in a megalopolis, U of T is the
natural if somewhat dull choice. Or maybe you just think you get what you pay
for: this is the most expensive school in the country in the most expensive
city in the country, after all. Maybe it's worth it?
